What are America's Job Centers?
America’s Job Centers and other One-Stop Centers are full-service career centers located in almost every community throughout the Los Angeles County. They offer comprehensive employment and hiring services to workers, employers, and job seekers at no charge. Most America’s Job Centers also have technology resource centers with phones, fax machines, computers, and copiers. Job seekers and small business owners can make interview appointments, access the Internet, and view video training courses.
What services are available for job seekers?
America’s Job Centers provide access to job listings, help with preliminary skill assessments, information about local education and training providers, current labor market information, and help with filing claims for unemployment insurance. Individuals with greater needs may be eligible for more intensive services, including personalized employment plans and individual counseling programs.
Do I need an appointment to use an America's Job Center?
Most America’s Job services are available on a walk-in basis. Appointments may be requested of customers with more extensive needs.
